Ongoing Projects

Only about one-third of rural households in Sitamarhi have access to safe drinking water. Child mortality and the risk of waterborne diseases increase due to the lack of safe drinking water. We are also making people aware of the risk of unsafe drinking water. We are conducting a series of events and encourage community participation in sharing water resources.

Vector-borne diseases are a group of communicable diseases transmitted by mosquitoes and other vectors. It is a significant disease burden from these diseases in Sitamarhi, which is reflected in the form of morbidity and mortality from Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya, Japanese Encephalitis (JE) & Kala-azar. We are working with the local community to clear stagnant dirty water sources and promote the use of mosquito nets & adopt more natural and effective ways to reduce mosquitoes. We are aiming to distribute mosquito nets & fogging for mosquito control as recommended by the Government of India.
